Roy!
(I'm Not the Bad Guy!)
(Roy
is a sequel to
The Other Window)
Available as an 'e-book' from Amazon.com |
Roy was three when his father was killed in Korea. Subsequently he was
raised in a household of women — his grandmother (born and raised in
Iran), mother (born in Iran and raised in Germany) and sister. By the
time he graduated from college, he was anxious to get away from Seattle,
(where he was born and raised) and to see the world. He had fallen in
love with Sarah, a Jewish girl whose mother prohibited her dating a
non-Jew.
He accepted employment with the CIA and embarked on a new and very
different life. He and Sarah married, incurring the wrath of her mother.
He and his new wife are assigned new identities and moved to Germany as
CIA operatives. Because of his Iranian background, and knowledge of the
Farsi language, he takes many trips to Iran during their turmoil, is
arrested several times and harshly interrogated by the Shah’s secret
police.
By out-scheming his adversaries, Roy manages to survive.
Roy! Is a
story about tenacity, intense love and adherence to personal and family
values.
Roy!
is a sequel to
The Other Window
(see below). Romance, history and intrigue you’re sure to enjoy. |

The Other Window
chronicles the life of Fariba Ansari, born and raised in Tehran, Iran.
She was given in marriage to Wolfgang Schneider, a German diplomat, and
had two children, Anna, 10, and Ramin, 8. They were ordered back to Nazi
Germany in 1939. The family settled in the Schneider house in Bamberg
but Herr Schneider was required to continue to Berlin. He never was
heard from again.
How they survived the vindictive Nazis is a demonstration of
courage and tenacity.
Anna, now seventeen, falls in love with Hank McGinnis, an American
sergeant. They marry and, with Fariba, move to Seattle. By his choice,
Ramin stayed behind.
Fariba helps her daughter survive Hank’s death in Korea assisting
Anna raise her two children, Roy (see
Roy!,
above) and Dorri. The children go on to their
own careers, overcoming disasters of political instability. Fariba, Anna
and Dorri band together to operate a very successful language and
culture indoctrination school. Fariba plays cupid in her effort to get
Dorri married, and Anna, remarried. Fariba’s unshakable philosophy:
“When things appear bleak, look for the other window.” Fariba found the
other window and also found a second marriage for herself.
Romance, history and intrigue you’re sure to enjoy. |
